Daniel Fickle was born in Atlanta, Georgia where his youth was shaped by Atlanta's thriving, underground music scene. From an early age Daniel displayed an affinity for song writing which placed him in prominent bands including Portrait and the New York based band, The Station Myth.
Always more at home creating rather than performing on stage Daniel gravitated toward film production. He soon gained a strong reputation for his film scores, his camera work as a director of photography, and his creative vision as a director. After numerous projects that garnered ''Best Film'' festival wins, Ebert and Roper ''Picks of the Week'' and official selections to Sundance, Daniel struck out on his own and founded Two Penguins Productions.
Two Penguins has grown up fast. With offices in New York, Los Angles and Portland, Oregon the company has attracted notable clients like GQ Magazine, Nike, BlackBook Magazine, Gilt Groupe, Microsoft and Stolichnaya Vodka… However, the core purpose of Daniel's production company remains the same and that is to create music videos and narrative films alongside commercial projects.
Daniel's most recent directorial work, ''Denmark'', is a music video for the Portland Cello Project. It premiered to a sold out show at Portland's Aladdin Theater, it has been televised throughout France, featured on websites like Vimeo, Motionographer, and Daily Motion, and is an official selection of multiple film festivals.
Daniel currently lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife Anna and their two daughters, Lilith and Ava.
